Technical Manager


He began his racing career in the 2000s as a preparatory mechanic and followed the CIR Italian Rally Championship program with the Autosport 91 – Erreppi Racing team until 2006, managing Subaru, Mitsubishi, Renault, Ford Focus WRC and following the drivers A. Scorcioni, T Di Cosimo, and GP. Tosi.

In 2007 he worked on the track with the Prema Power Team, European Formula World Series, working both in the factory and on the circuits following the driver C. Montanari.

In the following two years, with the WRC Team, he worked on the Sport Prototype Championship assisting the drivers M. Didaio and D. Uboldi on the track.

From 2009, until 2015 with Uboldi Corse, he worked as a preparer, both in the factory and in the car racing field of the Italian Prototype Championship. With the driver Davide Uboldi he obtained great results: in 2009 and 2010 on board Norma CN3 the absolute title followed by a second place in 2011. In 2012, the interest is for the Osella CN2 with which Uboldi ranks second. With the same prototype, in 2013, always with Uboldi, the position of the previous season is reconfirmed while in 2014 the title is again conquered.

Still on track in 2016 but with the Esse Motorsport team to take care of the Seat Leon Cup technically following the cars of the drivers M. Gagliano and C. Maffei.

In 2017 he reconfirms his attention to the cars of the Leon Cup Trophy with the MC Corse team also following the new Golf TCR assisting the drivers M. Gagliano, C. Maffei and L. Tarantino. The following year marks the return to prototypes with the BF Motorsport team, and the performing Wolf GB08 Thunder in the Sport Prototype Championship, again with the driver D. Uboldi.

Confirmed the 2019 season with the BF Motorsport team, he took care of the technical part of the Audi RS3 TCR DSG driven by the drivers E. Dionisio and G. Barri who won the title of absolute Vice Champions and that of Champions in the AM category.


Sports Management and Competition Management


Graduated in Engineering in 1977 at the Politecnico di Milano, he lived the rallies as a semi-professional co-driver from 1977 to 1988 in the Italian Rally Championship and National Challenge Rally, capturing important results alongside many drivers and with different types of cars.

The passion and the profession led him to deal with technical and operational consultancy in the organizational field, taking care of the drafting of technical tender documentation for numerous Organizers of titled races, with particular reference to safety.

On behalf of the Brescia Automobile Club, from 2001 until 2012 he was in charge of relations with the International Automobile Federation (F.I.A.) and with the Italian Federation (CSAI and ACI Sport). In the same period, he participated in the annual FIA Rally Seminar and in the FIA โ€‹โ€‹Safety Seminar.

His passion for motorsport also saw him engaged in the role of editor of the book “Rally 1000 Miglia – Astory that keeps running for 40 years”, published in 2016 on the occasion of the 40th edition of the event.

Since 2002 he has held the role of Sporting Director for several Italian Teams, participating in the major Italian Championships and various World Rally Championship races and gaining considerable experience,with over three hundred races disputed and a dozen national titles won.

Team Italy Motorsport has entrusted him with the role of Competition Manager and Sporting Director on the track in the Italian TCR Championship and in the Italian Endurance DSG Championship. The same duties are also exercised in the rally sector, with the management of the Team both in Italy and abroad.


Team Principal


From the early eighties he ignited his passion for motorsport by starting to race with the A112 Abarth Trophy, the forge of many champions. In 1982 he won the Under 23 Trophy finishing fourth overall.

In the following years, he continued with high-level performances with participation in numerous races of world and European value as a driver for official car manufacturers such as Fiat, Opel, Lancia; then in 1989 he joined the Mazda factory team driving the 323 of the parent company. For three consecutive years he wins the World Rally Championship in Group N.

The great experience gained having competed with many cars, from single-make trophies to Group 1 up to the most advanced Group N, A and, B, leads him to compete at a high level not only in Rally but also on the track, where since 2009 he has participated in the Superstars Series Championship aboard Team Ferlito’s Jaguar S-Type R. In the season finale, on the occasion of the Kyalami Final, he made his debut with the Audi RS4 with which he will be the protagonist in the following 2010 season with the Official Hop Mobile Audi Sport Italia Team, obtaining five wins and two second places that are worth the second absoluteplace Italian Superstars Senior Cup Championship. In the same year he returned to rallies with the Fordย Focus WRC.

2011 was a year of transition, personal commitments limited the presence in the Superstars World Championship, always held with the Audi RS4. In the following season he was reconfirmed as an Audi Sport Italiadriver by participating in the races valid for the Constructors’ classification, contributing to the final victory of the Championship.

Italian Senior Cup Championship won in the following 2013. The confirmation of the partnership with AudiSport Italia brings another success in Dionisio’s palmares with the extraordinary RS5 reaching 5th overall in the Championship, also fighting in the final stages of the rounds with the most fierce opponents such as his teammate team Gianni Morbidelli and the first Mercedes driver Vitantonio Liuzzi. Also in thisend of the season, as in the previous one, other great satisfactions arrive, in fact he is called by Maserati Squadra Corse to replace a driver in the Abu Dhabi World Final with the Maserati Swiss Team where,also scoring the best lap in the final, he contributes to the conquest of the Maserati World Trophee.

2015 under the banner of change where Dionisio approaches the Italian Super GT Championship with Team Antonelli and the brand new Lamborghini Huracan GT teamed up with Omar Galbiati. Despite the four victories obtained, the team fails to win the title having to position itself on the lowest step of the podium. The commitments in rallies also return, winning the N3 Category in many races and the N Group taking an amazing victory, with fourteenth overall position in the Rally Due Valli in Verona, CIR race, Italian Rally Absolute Championship. The car used? A Subaru Diesel N3.

Due to intense work commitments, the following year was dedicated only to a few sporadic appearances in national Rally.

The return to the track with the Audi Sport Customer Racing – Team Italy Team marks the debut of the newborn RS3 Le Mans Series TCR DSG, the 2017 season finale gives Dionysus an exciting third position in theTCR DSG European Championship.

The following 2018 also ends with an absolute podium. Still with Audi Sport Customer Racing – Team Italy, he obtained four victories and an excellent second place which unfortunately are not enough to get on the top step.

TCR DSG Endurance Championship again. 2019, paired with Giacomo Barri, ends with the conquest of the title of absolute Vice Italian Champion TCR Endurance and the title of Champion in the AM category thanks also to the great speed skills of โ€œMomoโ€ Barri.

Before the forced stop due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Dionisio takes the Dacia Sandero Rally2Kit to his debut in the World Rally Championship in Monte Carlo, finishing in an excellent 39th position. Currently,with the Simulation Mania team, the eSport division of Team Italy, it successfully participates in the WTPC Pro Cup 2020 visible on SKY at channel 228.
